Time for a check-in, repeat script or extra reassurance?

Whether you're due a routine check-up, need a repeat prescription, are managing side-effects, or something suddenly feels wrong after a procedure, here’s the fastest way to access the right follow-up care tailored to your needs. My team and I are here to support your ongoing journey to optimal health.

What brings you here for follow-up today?

Select the reason for your visit below to see what typically happens and how to get the fastest support. This helps guide you to the right next step.

This follow-up is for checking your recovery after a recent operation or procedure. We’ll review your wound healing, address any specific post-op plan (like catheter removal or drain care), check in on your pain levels, and discuss recovery milestones to ensure you're progressing well. It’s a chance to ask any questions about your recovery journey.

This consultation is specifically to go through the results of recent laboratory tests (blood, urine, semen, genetics) or imaging scans (ultrasound, CT, MRI). I will explain what the results mean in the context of your symptoms and previous findings. Together, we will decide the next steps, whether that involves further investigations, starting a treatment plan, or simply providing reassurance based on the findings.

If you require a repeat prescription for a stable, ongoing condition where no immediate changes are anticipated, you can usually request this quickly via our self-service module (see below). I will conduct a brief safety screen to ensure the medication is still appropriate for you and that you haven't developed any new issues or side-effects. We'll then issue an e-script directly to your nominated pharmacy, and they will usually text you when it's ready for collection.

Note: For urgent prescription needs or if you have new side-effects, please use the 'Something’s wrong' guidance.

If you are following a treatment plan (medication, behavioural therapy, physio) and are either not seeing the expected results, are ready to optimise your dose, or are considering switching therapy, this type of follow-up is appropriate. We'll review how the current approach is working, make any necessary adjustments to dosage or type of drug, integrate other therapies like physio, and manage expectations based on realistic outcomes. We might discuss the pros and cons of alternative non-surgical or potentially surgical options at this stage.

For chronic conditions that require regular oversight to ensure they remain stable, or to track long-term progress, ongoing monitoring appointments are essential. This could involve monitoring PSA trends for prostate health, tracking symptom scores for LUTS (like IPSS), assessing penile appearance or pain with photos for Peyronie's disease, reviewing fertility treatment progress, or monitoring chronic pain levels. The frequency depends entirely on the specific condition and your individual circumstances.

Experiencing new or troublesome side-effects from medication or therapy can be worrying and disruptive. It's important to discuss these promptly. We can troubleshoot the issue, assess if it's related to the treatment, discuss strategies to manage it, consider dose adjustments, or explore alternative medications. This type of review can often be done effectively via a quick virtual consultation initially to provide rapid advice.

If side-effects are severe or indicate an allergic reaction (see below), please use the 'Something’s wrong' guidance immediately.

While routine post-op checks are for standard recovery, this is for when things aren't going smoothly – significant or worsening pain, unexpected swelling, new or worsening urinary issues (retention, leakage), erection changes beyond expected recovery, or significant anxiety about your post-operative state. Please reach out promptly. This may require an urgent in-person assessment to properly evaluate the issue.

For severe, life-threatening emergencies after surgery, refer to the RED FLAG guidance.

Some symptoms require immediate or same-day medical attention as they could indicate a serious issue. Please refer to the clear Triage Strip below for guidance on when to contact my team urgently or seek emergency services (999/A&E).

Is It Urgent? How to Know What to Do

Knowing when to seek immediate help is vital for your safety. Use this guide to understand whether your symptom warrants calling emergency services (999/111/A&E), contacting my team for same-day advice, or if it's safe to arrange a standard follow-up or repeat prescription request.
